THe Reverend Elias D. Burgos, Ph.D. M.DiV. Bcc CPSP Supervisor-In-Training (SIT)
Elias lives in Denver, CO since 1997 and he’s a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Wheat Ridge, CO.
His training includes a BA in Theological Studies and a Master in Divinity from his country of origin (Chile), a Master in Theological Studies from the Iliff School of Theology and a Ph.D. in Religion and Social Change from the University of Denver.
He received CPE training through the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) in 1999 at Porter Adventist Hospital (Centura Health) in Denver, CO and worked as Director of Pastoral Care Services at Hospice of Saint John in Lakewood, CO for a number of years where he clinically supervised and managed a multicultural and interreligious team of 15 professional chaplains.
Elias is a Board Certified Clinical Chaplain and Board Certified Pastoral Counselor by the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy (CPSP). Presently, he teaches Philosophy and Ethics at Regis University and Environmental Studies at the Iliff School of Theology in Denver, CO. Elias, besides being fully bilingual and bicultural, plays several musical instruments and enjoys playing soccer in a multicultural environment.
